Youth Orchestra
Programs

Our programs provide advanced musical training for young musicians. Students participate in sectionals, weekly rehearsals, and live performances and benefit from coaching sessions with Philharmonic musicians.

LEVEL: Advanced Full Symphony Orchestra

INSTRUMENTS: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, and strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass)

REHEARSALS: Sundays from 1:30-3:30 pm

Our flagship ensemble, Symphony students play challenging literature from some of the world's most famous composers.

Symphony

LEVEL: Intermediate-Advanced Full Orchestra

INSTRUMENTS: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass

REHEARSALS: Sundays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm

Designed to be a meaningful bridge between Symphony and Prelude supporting students as they progress to the next stage of their musical development.

Intermezzo

LEVEL: Intermediate String Ensemble

INSTRUMENTS: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass

REHEARSALS: Sundays from 2:00 - 3:30 pm

String students fine tune their skills, play a variety of challenging music, build teamwork and musicianship with their peers.

Tuition and Fees

There is a non-refundable $25 registration fee to audition. Once students have been notified of their acceptance into one of the orchestras, there is an additional tuition. This can be paid in full or in three (3) installments, due by June 1st, August 1st, and September 1st. If for any reason a student must leave the orchestra, the tuition will be not be refunded.
